I thank you all for selecting Chatia College for pursuing higher studies and going for admissions in the various courses offered here. Established in 1982 with the then Pre-University (P.U.) Course and finally provincialised by the Govt. of Assam in 2013, Chatia College is a fast growing Degree College of Assam committed to the overall development of the students who are solely responsible for shaping the future of our nation.

Our highly skilled, dedicated and experienced teachers are always committed to imparting education and creating a healthy and congenial learning environment, and always ready and eager to guide you in every aspect of your life and career. In addition to various other benefits for students, Chatia College also has a system of “Student Mentoring” where every student is closely monitored under the supervision of a faculty member of the institution. The College prioritizes on various skill-based activities for the students which prepares them to meet the challenges in the job sectors of the present world. Various programmes are undertaken regularly for the placement of the outgoing students under the aegis of the ‘Training & Placement Cell’ of the college.

Chatia College has entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)s with THB College of Jamugurihat, Biswanath College of Biswanath Chariali and Chaiduar College of Gohpur on the basis of which various academic programmes like ‘Student-Teacher Exchange’ are conducted in these institutions and vice versa.

For those seeking admissions in various courses through ‘Distance Education’ mode, our college is also a centre to the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) and Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) of the Gauhati University. Students can also take up various courses here along with their regular courses which will benefit them in more ways than one. The college has a unit of National Service Scheme (NSS) with 100 Cadres which provides ample learning opportunities to the students while empowering them for future challenges.
