Department of History has been providing quality education to the students of the college. History meaning (inquiry knowledge acquired by investigation)is the study of the past as it is described in written documents. As per the syllabus (CBCS)of Guwahati University the department covers the different fields of civilization and transformation like human, political, social, cultural transformation. Therefore study of History is an important part of acquiring knowledge. At present two faculty members have been working sincerely in this department and many students have successfully passed out with good result in the last semester. We hope a bright future of the department.
